Welcome to David Storrie Associates

David Storrie Associates was established in June 2004 by David following a year working in Auckland, New Zealand with Boulder Planning.

Prior to his New Zealand experience David spent some 23 years in local government working for a number of authorities in the UK including Kirklees, Selby, the London Boroughs of Brent and Harrow, Hertsmere, Tunbridge Wells in Kent and ending up as Head of Development Control at Huntingdonshire District Council.

David left local government in 1998 to join the House Builders Federation as their Regional Planner in Yorkshire. He was head hunted by Barton Willmore in 1999 and was Director in charge of their Leeds office prior to leaving for New Zealand in 2003.

Upon establishing David Storrie Associates the Practice has seen a growing client base and organic growth. The Practice now boasts 3 Planners to service clients' needs with Zoe Stanley joining David as a Planner in 2007 and Nick Wild as a Senior Planner in 2008.
